The idea of skinning Chewbacca for a coat has been around for a while, but this is the first time I've seen someone suggest turning the Wookiee into a sofa. Can't be easy either. The fight. The takedown. The, er, processing. And then the build. Designer Nersi Nasseri is talented. Or should I say Darth Nersi? Because any man who would deign to couch-ify Chewbacca is clearly a member of the Order of the Sith.
The "Chewbacca" couch you see here is actually called the Sentient Long Wool Sofa. It's made of Icelandic sheepskin and reclaimed American oak boards, which combine to create a visual stunner from front to back, and top to bottom. The wool Nasseri selected is 6" to 8" long, and while it looks coarse and wild sticking out in every direction, the sofa's seller, 2Modern, says it feels soft as a hug from Chewie fresh out of a deep conditioning treatment.
