Q*Bert Desk Organizer

By: on June 02, 2016

Oh @!#?@! Where'd I put my pen? Did I lose those scissors again? Dave Delisle, whose THOR Hammer Tool Kit you just saw here, has also birthed this Q*Bert Desk Organizer brainchild.

Like the tool kit, Q*Bert in neat 'n' tidy form is just a concept, which Dave developed when he realized his current desk organizer is "very boringsauce." His design converts the classic arcade game and its foul-mouthed star into a tiered system of colorful cubes with a little Q*Bert ruling on top. Dave notes that Q*Bert could serve as a flash drive, pencil sharpener, or stress toy. The mock-up pyramid shown has 3 tiers of storage, but could be expanded to 4 or 5 to meet the needs of those with even more crap cluttering up their desk.

I think Dave should also incorporate some LEDs and touch-sensitive tech so that each cube changes color whenever you put something in or take something out of it. Maybe the dudes who made Pixels could pitch in with that feature. Oh, and if you can get all of the cubes to turn the same color, you get the rest of the day off work.
