Airlight Screw-in Ceiling Fan

By: on September 10, 2013

I was going to open my discussion of the Airlight screw-in ceiling fan/light with a lightbulb joke, but in searching for the perfect one to relay I stumbled upon something even better: an entire Website devoted to lightbulb jokes. So I guess I'll just get to the point instead, which is that Chad Maxey designed a ceiling fan and overhead illumination system that screws into a socket as easily as a lightbulb. Though not in production yet, the Airlight has garnered a lot of attention on Quirky, a "Big Idea" site that helps inventors gauge interest in and get feedback on their products prior to bringing them to life. The ceiling fan/light fixture seems to be pretty popular, having made it through the Portfolio Launch, or prototype design stage. Next up is manufacturing, so if you're interested in being one of the first to own one of these screw-in air circulators, follow Airlight's progress on Quirky.
