Hmmm, does my desire not to wash dishes by hand supersede my desire to microwave Hot Pockets? It's not even a rhetorical question. Even though SPT's countertop dishwasher says it will fit beneath most kitchen cabinetry, it's still a 48-pound wide load that I know would consume the surface space previously occupied by my microwave. So I'm a little torn. Food ready in 3 minutes or plates not still caked with egg yolk and Velveeta to eat it on?

Yeah, I agree. Keep both, move the microwave to the living room.

Countertop dishwashers provide a fairly economical, automated solution for apartments, office kitchens, or anyone still holding out on having the real thing installed. The wash basket accommodates up to 6 standard place settings, and units can reach temperatures of up to 148 degrees F. Hoses connect directly to kitchen faucets, so the installation won't need direct plumbing or permanent installation.
