"Smart" fireworks for this 4th of July? Sort of. FireFly's wireless fireworks firing system still uses regular old fireworks to help you create your own light show in the sky, but it adds some nifty tech to make the process more accessible and dramatic for those taking part. With FireFly you'll be able to design a spectacle with up to 15 fireworks, synced to music if you want, and conduct it from your Android or Apple mobile device.
Think I might need to add a #11 to my list of Top Ten Toys for the 4th of July.
The FireFly wireless firing module connects to smartphones or tablets from up to 50' away so the maestro who designed the fireworks show can enjoy his or her explosive talent as an observer too. Or, if the whole patriotic fire-and-song thing isn't your deal, you can use the FireFly's manual mode to set off fireworks individually.
FireFly includes the firing module, 8 x 1-meter reusable connection cables with igniter clips, and 7 x 3-meter reusable connection cables with igniter clips in their firing system package. The module is compatible with iPhone 6 and up, iPad 3rd generation and up, iPad Mini, iPad Air, and iPod Touch. On the Android side, you can deck out your 4th of July with Samsung S3 and above, Samsung Note 2 and above, LG Optimus G and above, and the Nexus 4 and above.
Purchasing Note: The FireFly fireworks firing system is on sale for $199.99 through July 4, 2017.
