BREKX Party Cooler with Bluetooth Speakers
The BREKX, a 54-quart cooler with built-in Bluetooth speakers, is new to the game of summer chillin'. But despite the clear party vibe its 6-watt blasters and iPhone / Android compatibility from up to 35' away project, I didn't include the BREKX in my list of the best coolers for summer because I haven't seen enough reviews of its performance yet, and also, uh, I think it's kind of ugly.
At least the naked stainless steel version. It looks like a cooler that would dent and scuff easily, and also give you a 1st degree burn if you touched it once it's been sitting in the sun for a while (looks that way, I don't know if any of this is true or not.) The BREKX cooler also comes in black, which you can get here, and it's a little more pleasing to my eyes.
From a technical standpoint, the BREKX cooler probably works just fine. The speakers weigh it down a bit - 21 pounds empty - but not having to schlep along a separate sound system to blast summer jams could make it worth it. The speakers are also water resistant (but not waterproof, so don't submerge them) and the stainless steel body rust- and leak-proof. Inside, the cooler has a double-walled inner plastic liner that will chill (and love) your beers long time. BREKX includes an auxiliary cord for anyone who doesn't want to connect to the sound system via Bluetooth.
