Straw, sticks, and bricks. You'll find them all throughout the pages of Cabin Porn, a forthcoming coffee table book from the folks behind the tumblr of the same name. Cabin Porn began as a photographic blog shared just amongst a few friends gathering inspiration for building projects. But since most of us with jobs, obligations, and tedious daily responsibilities long for a secluded and scenic escape from these burdens of life, the online scrapbook soon accrued what is now a "huge and obsessive" following. Enough to merit plucking the most interesting and sought-after submissions to the Cabin Porn website and printing them in a 330+-page, full-color hardcover.

Cabin Porn: Inspiration for Your Quiet Place Somewhere by Zach Klein, Noah Kalina, and Steven Leckart feeds both the eyes and the itch to build a place to call home away from home with its compilation of the most remarkable handmade cottages and cabins spreading from the American backcountry to all curves of the world. The book also expands upon Cabin Porn's single-shot-dominant tumblr with additional interior photography and how-to advice for building your own Big Bad Wolf-proof getaway.

The photos in the gallery above are all featured on the Cabin Porn tumblr. Most state simply the abode's name and location, though some include additional information about the builders and process. For example, the pair of treehouses are called Cinder Cone. They reside in the Columbia River Gorge area of Washington and were built in the spring of 2014 by a group of friends. In addition to the living spaces, the property also has a wood burning tub and bowl for skating.
