AB/CD: The Rock Alphabet
Who'd The Andy $hop pick for X? This rock & roll-themed ABC book, AB/CD: The Rock Alphabet turns over the teaching of its 26 letters to rock legends, so there's a little something for Mom and Dad tucked into the tedious task of helping their kids learn the basics of the English language. But I can't think of an "X" legend. XL Rose, perhaps?
The preview Rock ABC letters The Andy $hop does reveal are terrific. Each artist isn't just there representing the first letter of his or her name, s/he's there representing it all cleverly contorted into its shape. Highest marks go to David Bowie, whose dramatic mic grip gives his arm the "D," and Tina Turner's giant curls spreading out to make her "T."
