Lixada Pen Fishing Rod & Reel Set
No fishing around for the right words required to use the Lixada Pen Fishing Rod & Reel Set. When anglers cast a line of poetry with this pen, they'll cast an honest to goodness fishing line, the poetry coming from the beauty of their arc and precision and, of course, the fish they bring in as a result.
Collapsing down to just 8" long, and capped cleverly to look like a ballpoint (admittedly, an oversized ballpoint) the Lixada fishing rod is made with a corrosion-resistant aluminum alloy shell housing and a glass steel fiber construction Lixada says is strong enough to support big fish fights. Total weight is under 10 ounces for easy handling, as well as lightweight clipping in a pocket or bag. You can choose from extended rod lengths of 1M, 1.4M, 1.6M, 1.8M, and 2.1M.
The Lixada reel is a mini version that comes loaded with fishing line. Specs include a 4.3:1 gear ratio and 2+1 BB with copper axis.
The pen fishing rod & reel sets have mixed reviews, and I think they should work on their dime-store-lookin' packaging, but for the price they make a decent novelty gift, or even a fun Father's Day gift for Dad.
