What does your chain link fence say about you? Nothing? What if it were inlaid with intricate designs of lace, leaves, butterflies, kings of the jungle, or the face of Darth Vadar? Lace Fence is a traditional, fully functional industrial barrier fabricated with artistic patterns and images. Dutch designer Demakersvan deems it their "architectural fabric," a merging of the practical, but ugly, with the beautiful, but inconvenient for the average person to embed in white PVC-coated galvanized iron.
Lace fence comes in preset patterns, as well as custom designs lifted from clients' photos or sketches. Metal selections include everything from zinc and aluminum to brass and copper, in 2.0 to 4.5 mm gauges. Mesh spacing ranges from 25 x 25 to 100 x 100 mm, in fence heights of up to 5.5 meters high, and infinity wide. So now instead of hanging a tacky sign that says "Keep Out" or "Beware of Dog" you can commission a metal woven skull & crossbones, or the likeness of your salivating pit bull, right into your chain links. And while back yard privacy and school playground corrals are the obvious reasons for installation, other uses include:
- Balcony or stair guardrail infills
- Room dividers
- Ceiling panels
- Gates and doors
- Logos and promotional banners
- Handmade industrial wall art
