Chicanery! I clicked on a link promising Peeps under the giddy assumption that I was going to get some marshmallow turkeys or chickies in Santa hats. And all I got was an eyeglass cleaner!

Very disappointing if you're looking for spongy clouds of pure sugar and corn syrup. Maybe not such bad news if you wear glasses, or have sunglasses that routinely get smudged, streaked, greased, and dusted up. These Peeps are a carbon-based eyeglass cleaner that removes all of the above - from fingerprints to films of dirt - without cloths or wipes, and without potentially damaging sprays of alcohol and ammonia.

Peeps are small, tweezer-shaped tools with soft carbon pads on their tweezin' ends. The clamp gently on either side of lenses to wipe away imperfections, plus reduce surface static to lessen the attraction of airborne particles during wear. Maker Eye Love say Peeps' carbon is restored each time you put them back into their storage case, so a single set will last for around 500 cleanings.

Peeps are safe for use on all types of eyewear, including glasses with anti-reflective lenses.

Note: Good news! Upon further research, I see that I can also get holiday Peeps - in Gingerbread and Pumpkin Spice Latte flavors no less! - here.
