When using a knife it's usually helpful to be able to see what you're doing. And since it's not always easy or practical to bring your knife to the light, SOG Specialty Knives and Tools has decided to bring the light to your knife. Their BladeLight Folder is a 3.9" tactical knife whose handle has 6 embedded LEDs shining down either side of the blade. When switched on the lights provide shadowless illumination on both the instrument and the work surface for complete, concentrated brightness in the dark. When the folder is closed, the BladeLight can also serve as a flashlight.

BladeLight LEDs require 2 x AAA batteries to provide 34 to 37 lumens of bright white light. The knife also carries an IPX-7 water resistance rating--full immersion for 30 minutes at a 1-meter depth. The blade is made of 9Cr18MoV steel (high carbon chromium bearing, corrosion-resistant) and has a straight edge with a clip point shape and satin finish. Its black handle is glass-reinforced nylon.
