While I'm usually not opposed to pills, the Gleener Ultimate Fuzz Remover, a fabric shaver and lint remover, gets rid of one kind of pill I can't stand: the balled-up fat ones that form all over my sweaters and blankets. I habitually pick at those things when they're on or near me, much to the dissatisfaction of whomever has to watch a pile of lint grow on the meeting room desktop, or living room floor. And I guess I had some vague awareness that they make tools to mass-strip clothing and gear of the fuzz, but I just stumbled upon the Gleener system today.
The Ultimate Fuzz Remover is a manual tool, no batteries required. And no razors required either, for anyone who's gone that route and ended up with holes in their stuff. The handheld wand comes with 3 interchangeable edges for big and bulky pills (heavy woolens, blends, synthetics), medium pills (cashmere, merino, finer wools, and fleece), and fine pills (summer knits, T-shirts, silk blends). It also has a lint brush on the other end, to get rid of any lingering fluff after you've done the de-pilling. The lint brush tackles pet hair too.
At least one Gleener edge should be suitable for all types of lint-infested fabric, including upholstery.
