I feel like the Aero Sphere fan, a sculptural household appliance imported from Japan, holds the power to blow more than cool air. Like all we have to do is play with it long enough--or figure out how to unlock a level--and we'll advance beyond mere circulatory capabilities into the realms of instant ice block formation and interior thunderstorms.

But in the interim, I'm OK with the Aero Sphere just keeping me cool and battling a stuffy bedroom filled with 2 times as many dirty clothes as clean ones.

This fan has won awards for its teardrop-shaped design, which channels air away from the blades so that it travels farther. It has been equipped with 3 modes, strong, medium, and weak, as well as a timer for automatic shutoff after 30 minutes, 1 hour, or 3 hours. Optional use of Aero Sphere stands enable users to pivot its Y-axis angle. Also included with fan purchase: a remote control and AC adapter.
