Giveaway: Titanium & Moonglow Ring

By: on December 23, 2013

Enter to win your finger the sleek design and mystical luminescence of an Isotope Titanium & Moonglow ring from Black Badger Advanced Composites (a $325 value!)

About Black Badger's Titanium & Moonglow Ring

The Isotope, Black Badger's second exploration of moonglow, weaves the otherworldly material into a band of solid CNC-milled titanium. Simple and elegant with the lights on, the ring becomes both the life and light of any room when things go dark. Available sizes (based on ring's internal diameter in mm) include: 17.5; 18.5; 19.5; 20.5; and 21.5. Approximate US ring size conversions of these numbers are: 7-1/4; 8-1/2; 9-5/8; 10-3/4; and 12.

Though Black Badger's glow-in-the-dark rings come from Sweden, not the outer regions of our cosmos, the company's commitment to bringing aerospace materials into everyday life leaves us with some pretty impressive permutations of little green men. The (normal, human-colored) man behind the creations is James Thompson, an industrial designer and Canadian ex-pat who started Black Badger Advanced Composites in 2006. Thompson thrives on the use of functional elements, noting, "I leave gold and diamonds to the other designers, my thing is 100% industrial materials." He adds, "I think that once we abandon traditional notions of what is beautiful, we find that countless options arise."
