About The Jedi Path: A Manual for Students of the Force

According to high-ranking officers of the Galactic Republic, through wars and rebellion, only a single copy of The Jedi Path: A Manual for Students of the Force has survived. They add, "It is now passed on to you." That prophetic vaulted exterior you see? It opens mechanically, and to much Star Wars fanfare. Press a button and the doors draw apart, backed by a symphony of Jedi sound effects and surging blue LED backlighting. Then, slowly, an inner platform rises to reveal--booyakasha!--an exclusive, faux-leather-bound edition of The Jedi Path.

The ancient training manual imparts the wisdom of early Jedi Masters, detailing the history and hierarchy of the Jedi Order, and what Jedi must learn and demonstrate--from Force mastery to lightsaber combat--to "take their place as defenders of the peace in the galaxy." Annotated by those who have studied it over generations, the piece's authenticity is highlighted by mementos tucked into its pages, personal notes in the margins of its pages, and even missing pages that have been ripped out by the likes of Yoda, Luke Skywalker, Count Dooku, and Darth Sidious.

In addition to its formidable vault, the Jedi manual's removable additions include:

  • A letter tracing the book's history
  • a severed Padawan braid
  • A metal Jedi Credit medallion
  • A Jedi starfighter patch
  • A burned poster of the Jedi Code
  • A map of the Jedi Temple
  • A lightsaber diagram sketched on the back of a napkin from Dex's Diner
  • A note on the missing pages torn from the book by a Sith

About Book of Sith: Secrets from the Dark Side

Another deluxe Star Wars mythology package, Book of Sith: Secrets from the Dark Side employs a mystical black-and-red pyramid to serve as the annals' case. It opens to reveal an ornate, hardbound tome filled with the thoughts, exploits, and plots for Sith control of the galaxy recorded over centuries as Sith Lords came forth and rose to power. The volume contains 6 texts total, 5 that Darth Sidious tracked down and believes were penned by his most formidable predecessors, and the last Sidious' own manifesto. Together, they expound upon the philosophy, achievements, and failures of the Sith Order.

Recovered Dark Side texts appear as follows:

  • A chronicle by Sorzus Syn of her encounters with Sith Purebloods, explorations in alchemy, and the foundations of the Sith Order.
  • Darth Malgus' war journal, kept during the Great Galactic War. Describes methods of war and campaigns of the Sith army.
  • A source book by Darth Bane, detailing the idea and the philosophy behind the Rule of Two, as well as the training required for a Sith.
  • An instructional manual by Mother Talzin exploring the Nightsisters' use of the Dark Side and their role as Dark Side mercenaries in the galaxy.
  • A scientific journal by Darth Plagueis with notes about his experimentation with and manipulation of the Force.
  • Darth Sidious' manifesto about the philosophy and political manipulation that marked his rise to power and established his Empire.

Additional treasures unearthed and packaged in the pyramid include a scrap of a Sith burial shroud, a battle map from the Great Galactic War, a Sith lightsaber crystal, a Nightsister talisman, a diagram of Palpatine's political strategies during the Clone Wars, a propaganda poster for the Galactic Empire, and a note from Luke Skywalker.

About The Bounty Hunter Code: From the Files of Boba Fett

Around the time legendary bounty hunter Boba Fett tumbled into the Great Pit of Carkoon, the Rebel Alliance discovered a secure, blast-proof bounty hunter's case holding Boba Fett's personal items. For years it remained hidden away. But now all who wish may unlock the secrets held within....

I really hope Boba Fett's edition of the elaborate Star Wars franchise handbooks is as rapturing as that pitch makes it sound. I also really hope that Kamino saberdart has heft and aesthetic authenticity to it. Like if I throw it at my friend Cornelius' head, I want to hear some legitimate distress from him when it hits.

The Bounty Hunter Code: From the Files of Boba Fett arrives inside the aforementioned case, along with buttons and a data card to unlock and trigger its built-in sound-and-light fanfare. Inside, Fett's Bounty Hunters Guild Handbook and a manifesto from the Mandalorian Death Watch are bound together to form the Code. The Handbook includes advice for new hunters from Senior Guild members, a detailed list of the tools and techniques crucial to the "crimson trade", and the basics of making a living on the margins of galactic law. Boba Fett's, Greedo's, Bossk's, and Dengar's own handwritten notes appear in the margins throughout.

The Death Watch volume, originally taken from Death Watch leader Tor Vizsla and given to Boba by his father, Jango Fett, has pages filled with Death Watch history, philosophy, and discussions of key Mandalorian gear. Commentary from Fett, the bounty hunter Aurra Sing, and the pirate Hondo Ohnaka appear in this booklet's margins as well.

Also within The Bounter Hunter Code lies a memoir from Cradossk called Making a Killing. It provides an account of his rise to the head of the Bounty Hunters Guild.

Additional Boba Fett secrets and valuables included in the set: Fett's captain's license; his arms permit; Slave I's official operating license; an Imperial wanted poster for Han Solo; and an inventory slip from the Rebel Alliance forces who discovered and seized Boba's property.
