Bose SoundWear Companion Wireless Wearable Speaker
Had it up to your ears with all the headphones and earbuds on the market? Bose has your back. Or rather, your neck. In addition to their recent foray into eyewear with the Bose Frames open-ear audio sunglasses, the company also makes the Bose SoundWear Companion speaker, a wireless wearable speaker that fits like a collar around your neck.
Expanding the body parts you can recruit to blast your music or listen to ads about how great the sh*tty airline you're on hold with is doesn't just give your ears a break from having plastic and padding crammed into and/or over them, it also frees them up to hear what's going on around you. Bose says their SoundWear Companion delivers "clear, full sound while keeping you aware of your surroundings, too."
The Bose neck speaker Bluetooth-pairs with your device, giving you access to Siri or the Google Assistant from up to 30' away, in addition to your music and voice calls. While the SoundWear Companion isn't silent to those around you like the Bose Frames, its upward-facing speakers do maximize the sound to you, and minimize it to anyone not all up in your lobes.
The SoundWear Companion speaker has an IPX4 rating for sweat- and water-resistance. You can also by the neck tech with a speaker cover that repels dust.
