Water Walker Underwater Treadmill

Posted: May 25, 2017

You know those dreams you have where you're trying to run towards or away from something, but you just...can't...make...your feet...move? It's like running through quicksand, or setting concrete, or...on an underwater treadmill. Yippee! The Water Walker underwater treadmill is about to make all of your stress dreams and nightmares come true! And it will get us fit or rehab us from injury without impact along the way!

Aqua training is a fine way to get in both cardio and resistance training without risking the evils of gravity taking their toll on your joints. Water Walker's Japanese makers also point out that training in water helps burn more calories by drawing heat out, forcing your body to raise its temperature and, in turn, energy production. It helps the body cool down faster post-workout too.

For those who can't swim and don't have access to a shallow pool for "running" laps, the Water Walker provides a safe way to exercise that should provide the same benefits as swimming or doing dry land workouts.

The standard Water Walker can be set for speeds of up to 2.5MPH, while the Pro version can kick your underwater ass up to 6.8MPH. It sounds pretty slow for a runner's pace, but keep in mind you'll be working against, like, 7,000 pounds of drag from the H2Flow. (OK, I don't know how much drag water provides, but 7,000 pounds is what it feels like when I'm trying to race my friend Cornelius to the Stormtrooper Hydro-Ball in the pool.)
