For the making of their 2013 Kickstarter video, and because destructive testing is always fun, Zendure founder Bryan Liu rolled over the external battery's A4 model a dozen times as it charged an iPhone 4S (ahhh, remember those days?). Since then, Zendure has expanded its line to include an array of staunch and stalwart devices, the juiciest of which you see here in the A8 Portable Charger, a 26,800mAh big boy that can charge your phone 7 to 9 times without needing a new charge itself, and maintain 95% of its existing charge for around 6 months without use.
Zendure's A8 also comes with with Qualcomm Quick Charge 3.0 technology. That port, one of four total on the battery, can output an 18W max of power when connected to a compatible QC3.0 device. The other 3 operate at a standard 5V/3.1A. Zendure uses ZEN+ tech to auto detect your device and administer the output that best suits it.
The A-Series shell is fashioned from an ABS/PC composite plastic, and reinforced by support ridges to resist warping. Zendure designers have also inserted a shock-resistant rubber belt between the front and back covers to help protect the battery during falls (and tire encounters).
