BitLock Smart Keyless Bike Lock
Like most smart things, BitLock aims to serve, protect, and make your life just a little bit easier. The sturdy U-lock system locks and unlocks with no key, and no tedious dials to challenge your fine motor skills in negative wind chills and the pouring rain. Instead, BitLock pairs with an app on your smartphone for easy, easy-to-share, and easily modified access. Similar to many contemporary vehicle fobs, the Bitlock recognizes when your phone is nearby, even if it's in your bag or pocket, and unlocks by proximity when you press the button on its base.
You can also create digital keys and share bike access (as well as location) with others, either permanently or for a set period of time. And if your phone (invariably) dies (at the worst possible time) you'll still be able to use BitLock by punching in a 4-digit code with a series of Morse-like button presses on the device itself.
BitLock also includes the obligatory tracker, with analytics including cycling trip distance, duration, and calories burned saved automatically to the app, plus has geotagging capabilities in case you forget when you locked up earlier.
