Pursuant to a successful Kickstarter campaign, The Flatworks is offering up pre-orders of its PlyFly gas-powered wooden go-kart kit to those who didn't get in on the crowdfunding backing.
The PlyFly is a DIY kart that arrives in 3 boxes and assembles in one day. Or under 4 minutes if you can move at the time lapsed speed of the Flatworks' demo video. Once complete you'll have a full-size kart with a 2.5 HP gas engine capable of tooling around town at up to 25 mph. Kits include all wooden parts, hardware, and the engine. And in addition to a splinter or two, a completed PlyFly will give you:
- Rack and pinion steering
- Disc brake
- Foam filled tires (non-pneumatic)
- Adjustable seat (can accommodate a large adult)
- Smartphone mount for action video and telemetry
- Safety flag for increase visibility
The Flatworks is also offering up a 4HP edition of the PlyFly for those in search of a little more speed and power, and in a position to spend an extra $100.
