The Longboard Stroller: the future of kids and mobility. The Longboard Stroller: because every kid deserves to eat pavement at the hands of a parent who didn't see the raised edge in the sidewalk. The Longboard Stroller: Naw dude, it's cool if I bone the drop into the quarter pipe--I got a blocker. The Longboard Stroller: how to give your child a thirst for adrenaline and a permanent physical and/or mental handicap.
Still in testing and refinement stages, the Longboard Stroller by Studio Peter Van Riet--created in response to a call for ideas from stroller manufacturer Quinny--is a proposed solution to increased urbanization, and couples' desire to continue living in urban areas even after they have spawned smaller versions of themselves that need to be taken to the park and the ice cream store. The skate-stroll combo aims to maintain a family's mobility without sacrificing the hustle and bustle and opportunities of city life.
According to Van Riet, the Longboard Stroller is "an alternative solution which makes it easy to travel longer distances in a nice, environmentally friendly way." I still think it looks very unsafe and like a Tosh.0 segment waiting to happen.
