Hmmm, I think I just found a way to make some extra cash this summer. A full kitchen in the trunk for me means Cuban sandwiches, carnitas tacos, and five spice duck congee for all of you festival and beach goers. Or maybe I'll be nice and to set up next to some neighborhood kid's crappy folding table of a lemonade stand, igniting the flow of greenbacks for the both of us.
Really though, Scout's Overland Kitchen is for avid campers and outdoorsmen who want to chef it up and go gourmet no matter where they are. The consolidated cooking depot could also help out families or those making meals for large groups of open-air eaters since, according to Scout, it includes "everything AND the kitchen sink."
Tucked into drawers and cabinets custom built to fit your truck, van, or SUV are multiple large work surfaces and storage containers for a stove, refrigerator, knives, dishes and utensils, and any other standard stock kitchen tools. The Overland Kitchen also includes a sink with running water and a soap dispenser for normal cleanup. Scout notes that setting up and breaking down the kitchen itself takes only seconds since every item packs away secure, and bins and surfaces slide in and out of the vehicle without disconnecting from their base.
Scout offers semi- and fully custom build options for Overland Kitchens, with specifics and pricing available upon request.
