The Jetsons-approved Nube [insert fancy French acute accent over the "e" and say "New-bay"] awards people who like to sleep outside with the benefits of a hammock: suspension, simplicity, motherly rocking; without the tribulations of camping: waking up submerged in a foot of muddy water, waking up with a family of snakes, waking up with a bear munching on your Clif Bars. A 3-in-1 system that pairs with any camping hammock, Nube endeavors to provide the most complete elevated protection for any outdoor enthusiast who all the same would prefer not to get bitch slapped by the outdoors.
Creators Richard Rhett and his Sierra Madre Research team say that Nube sets up anywhere mounting trees are available, and in the event there are none, can also serve as a standard (pole-less) tent on flat ground. For elevated installation, Nube's Sky Hooks provide constant tension to support the structure and create a solid platform that sheds water and resists wind. An Insect Shield wraps around its underside to cocoon inhabitants from encroaching crawlers, but also has enough venting to facilitate airflow on hot nights. Nube's Gear Storage Area attaches load-bearing lines to a hammock's suspension lines so that belongings keep safely without weighing additional stress on the system.
