About Black Ember Modular Backpacks

Black Ember backpacks come in 15-, 20-, and 25-liter capacities, all with magnetic/mechanical locking mechanisms (mag-locks) for affixing Black Ember's Mag-Lock Pouches. The company's midsize pack, the 20-liter TL Pack, is a top loader with a pair of vertical bonded and bar-tacked zippers running along its upper sides. With no accessories attached, it features 20 liters of storage space, padded internal laptop and tablet sleeves, and a pair of waterproof exterior gear pockets. Its shoulder harness and track-style sternum straps are removable on days you want to carry the bag briefcase-style with its included leather handle, attachable to either the side or the top.

The 15-liter Slate Pack and 25-liter Neoruk Pack have slightly different designs to reflect their smaller and larger capacities, but both are also fitted with extensive options for customization and storage. All packs have at least two Mag-Lock enabled quad connectors on the front.

Black Ember packs are constructed with: carbonate-coated, 1000 denier ballistic nylon; hypalon; aluminum hardware; bonded YKK weather-proof urethan-coated zippers; and genuine leather.

Modular Mag-Lock pouches complement Black Ember's Dark Knight aesthetic, and swap easily in, out, and around the packs. The Military Pouch is a mini messenger bag of sorts with a clip closure, fleece-lined interior, and front slip pocket for a phone or pad of paper to nestle alongside its 4 pen pockets. The protective Hard Case module is made of a fabric / foam composite, also with fleece lining, as well as a padded divider so you can load up both sides without worrying your charging cables will scratch, bump, or get into a fistfight with your camera.

Black Ember's Sml Admin is a dual mag-lock pouch with pockets for 2 pens, plus a larger internal mesh zippered pocket. The whole case zips open completely so it can be used both horizontally or vertically. The fleece-lined Smart Pouch is sized to fit smartphones up to 3-1/2" x 7", and designed for attachment to the backpack's shoulder harness for quick access. A flap concealed pocket can also store multiple cards and a passport.
