I'm home alone. Eating some guac and Juanita's, playing some War Thunder. And I feel the need. The need for speed. The ASUS RT-AC86U gaming router will not make me a better fighter pilot. But it will probably make my fighter pilot game a little better.

Designed, according to ASUS, "to deliver jaw-dropping network performance," the ASUS RT-AC86U gaming router comes with a 1.8Ghz dual-core processor with the latest 802.11AC MU-MIMO technology to boost network traffic and connectivity speeds running through its USB 3.1 Gen 1 and 4x gigabit LAN ports.

Using the ASUS RT-AC86U router you should be able to see data transfer speeds of up to 2900 Mbps. The MU-MIMO sprinkles give every compatible device a dedicated, full-speed WiFi connection, so multiple hookups won't slow down the network. In use, ASUS aims for a lag-free online gaming experience enhanced by flawless 4K UHD streaming thanks to an Adaptive QoS game booster and WTFast's game accelerator, The Gamers Private Network. The GPN automatically performs route optimization; it chooses the most efficient route for game packets to achieve a consistently lower ping time and minimal packet loss.

AiProtection provides built-in network security while using the gaming router, and an ASUS Router App allows you to manage your network remotely.
