PacMotor Joystick-Controlled Dual Kayak Motor
Down with paddles! Down with physical exertion! All hail the PacMotor joystick-controlled dual kayak motor!
For kayak fishing, easy transport about your island paradise, a romantic picnic on the water, or cruising on a boat, motherf**ker without having to buy a full-on boat, motherf**ker, the PacMotor is a patent-pending dual-motor rig that retrofits to the back of the kayak you already own. The first of its kind, PacMotor says a 2-motor system and joystick controller provide non-paddlers with "exceptional maneuvering" single motor designs can't touch.
The double PacMotors feature propellers that can operate independently, with alterations to their rotational speed and direction allowing you to adjust your course with precision; the motors will rotate your boat up to a full 360 degrees when you want to turn or move, and hold it in place when you don't. They can drive a 7-1/2' kayak up to 6 mph.
The PacMotor propellers are connected via a lightweight aluminum frame, which secures to kayaks with (non-penetrating or -damaging) stainless steel bolts and screws. The foldable frame makes the motors easy to carry, plus allows for lifting them out of the water before you reach your beach or dock, or when you decide you want to paddle.
Wireless and waterproof, the PacMotor joystick has a one-thumb control button so you can take photos, cast a line, or pour some wine without stopping your joyride. And if you drop it, the joystick floats. Don't forget to keep your eye on the water and steer clear of the mangroves, though. Unlike my mama's new Subaru, the PacMotor does not have a driver monitoring system or automatic emergency braking.
