The Schrade SCHA5B M.A.G.I.C. folding knife listing neglects to explain its M.A.G.I.C. acronym, so at first I thought maybe it didn't stand for anything, that the caps and dots are just there for their imposing, visual effects. Then I thought maybe I should make up a M.A.G.I.C. meaning for them, such as My Arm Got Into Cutting or Mama Ain't Gonna Intervene, Chicken. Then I did a Google search and found that Schrade does define M.A.G.I.C. after all. It stands for Multipurpose, Assisted, Generational and Innovative Cutlery. Then I realized I had wasted 11 minutes of my life on this topic.

The SCHA5B M.A.G.I.C. is an assisted-opening liner-lock folding knife. Black blade, black handle. I wonder if the saying applies here as well: once you go Schrade black you never go back.

The knife's 3.3" blade is made from AUS-8 high carbon stainless steel and has ambidextrous thumb knobs. Closed it measures 4.5" and is fitted with a safety lock.
