The worst part of the year is upon us: the end of summer. True, football is starting again and the children who have been littering up your house for the past 2 months will soon be heading back to school, but...winter sucks. No more swimming, no more daylight past 6 p.m., no more backyard BBQs highlighting the brotherhood-building powers of mad grill skills and mass quantities of meat.

Well, at least Crock-Pot is trying to help keep us afloat as we sail into the Season of Doom. Here they have a deluxe slow cooker that aims to mimic the effects of a BBQ pit. It holds up to 3 slabs of ribs, 3 racks of chicken parts, or a 12-pound roast, and over the course of 6 to 13 hours, heats them to fall-off-the-bone doneness.

Like most Crock-Pots, the BBQ Pit has High and Low settings. Its stoneware components are dishwasher-safe.
