Scanmarker Air Digital Highlighter & Reader
The Scanmarker Air is a handheld - well, really 3-fingered-held - wireless scanner used just like you would a highlighter to transfer text to your computer or smartphone as you slide the pen across a hard copy. The OCR digital highlighter is also a reader that can read text aloud as you scan it, a feature that could prove very valuable to students with dyslexia and other disabilities, as well as old men like myself who now have trouble reading menus in restaurants, but refuse to get glasses.
You know, I'd be fine if they didn't insist on keeping it so damn dark in there! "Mood lighting" means there should still be some form of lighting!
The Scanmarker Air is compatible with Windows, Mac, Android and iOS, and can replicate and digitize text for later use in Word, Excel, or even Facebook. While an obvious studying tool for students, a nice choice if you need a gift for a teen, the wireless highlighter could also be a handy companion for lawyers, researchers, writers, or any professional who needs to take notes and consolidate information for later use.
Scanmarker Air can process 3000 characters per minute, and a full line of text within 1 second. The digital pen also comes with translation, barcode reader, and small black-and-white image scanning features.
