Barisieur 2.0 Coffee & Tea Brewing Alarm Clock
Not only is the Barisieur, a coffee and tea brewing alarm clock, more than a design concept, it's about to enter its second generation with the Barisieur 2.0. Josh Renouf debuted the idea for the original Barisieur almost 6 years ago, and it took about 2 years after that for the multi-sensory wakey-wakey machine to reach its production phase. Then, like now, the Barisieur was launched on Kickstarter.
For the 2.0 version, Barisieur is adding immersion brewing, wireless device charging options, multiple serving brew options, and the ability to steep both loose leaf and tea bags.
For those unfamiliar with the Barisieur concept, it's one of the most hipster gadgets you'll ever see: a bedside alarm clock with a science lab on top you can use to brew your morning / evening coffee or tea. Take milk with your caffeine? No problem. Part of the Barisieur 2.0's rooftop mechanical equipment is a solid-state cooling unit, or peltier cooler, keeps milk cold all day long. It even has an infrared sensor that automatically turns the fridge on when you add milk, and shuts it off when the chamber is empty.
While serving as a standard audible alarm clock, the Barisieur 2.0 says it will help wake you up more gently and find focus more quickly by adding smell and taste to the equation. If you'd like to learn more or pledge for a Barisieur 2.0 of your own, check out the coffee and tea brewing alarm clock here on Kickstarter through June 25, 2020.
