Oh FunKey S, you cute wittle bitty foldable console, you could not have crossed my path at a better time. I was recently forced to give up my flip phone for my first ever smartphone, and even though it's only been a week, I'm already nostalgic for the feel, the sound, the expansion and contraction I could create flipping it open and closed. Also, while it had no "World's Smallest" designation like you do, it was much smaller than this new monstrosity I've got, and could also play a few retro video games on its tiny LCD screen.

The FunKey S, self-crowned the World's Smallest Foldable Console, is a keychain companion for anyone bored on public transit, in the lecture hall, at a work seminar, and in the doctor's office. Or, more appropriately these days, bored waiting for curbside pickup and standing in line to get in Trader Joe's.

Pop open the spring-powered hinge on your FunKey S console and enjoy access to about a dozen different classic consoles, including NES, SuperNES, Gameboy, Playstation 1, Sega Genesis, and Atari. In addition to the satisfying feel of the flip, the FunKey S folding design allows for the largest possible 240x240 IPS LCD color screen (1.54") and controls, plus protects both when the console is closed.

And when you do close the FunKey S, it is designed to auto save your current game before turning itself off. Opening it back up resumes the game where you left off. Additions FunKey S features include a built-in 0.5W speaker to pump retro sounds, and a single micro USB connector for power plus data drag & drop as a standard USB memory stick.

If you like the retro vibes, the portable nature, or the sheer charm of the FunKey S, you can preorder one the world's smallest foldable consoles here on IndieGoGo.
