Cache Basecamp System Tailgate Pad
Cache's Basecamp System Tailgate Pad can certainly perform your standard tailgate pad duties - use it to store up to 5 bikes for transport, and protect your truck from dings and scratches on the drive. But if you're into more than just cycling or mountain biking, or not into riding two-wheelers at all, the Basecamp System also has something to offer surfers, hunters, campers, and tailgaters.
Latched onto the tailgate pad itself are a pair of low-back lounge chairs and a Jeffrey backpack-style cooler. These accessories are both removable for using remote from your truck, and configured for setup on the truck with the tailgate down. Chairs have aluminum frames and exterior mesh storage pockets. The cooler is sized to hold up to 18 x 12-ounce cans, and keep the cold for up to 24 hours.
The tailgate pad itself is designed to be theft-resistant, with a cable-and strap system that attaches to your truck, and locks via a cast iron locking carabiner.
Cache Basecamp System components are wrapped in waterproof PVC and coated in PU nylon, so they won't bubble, shrink, or break down. Feel free to run them through a car wash after muddy adventures too.
