I don't see anything octo about the design and configuration of this Octomask with a built-in GoPro camera mount. Except maybe that 8 seconds is the amount of time I spent looking at it for clues before I got bored and then distracted by a lady out my office window trying to walk down the street in a balloony skirt on a windy day. Even though it turned out she was wearing underwear, watching her proved far more entertaining for far longer than my etymological studies of the Octomask. So now here we are, just you, me, and a dearth of relevant information.
As far as I can tell, the Octomask is a standard SCUBA mask with the addition of an overhead mount for hands-free underwater photography. Its compatibility spans all GoPro camera models, including Original, GoPro HERO2, HERO3, and HERO3+. In addition to freeing up fingers for manipulating dive lights, equalizing ears, and touching things you're not supposed to, the mount obviously enables filming and taking snapshots of trippy ocean sightings from the diver's unique perspective.
Bonus: I bet if all SCUBA fanatics used one of these mask-and-mount combos we'd be able to confirm once and for all the existence of Cthulhu, mermaids, and dolphin rape.
