Classic Pocket Camping Compass
Nothing caps off a grueling, straight-up, 10-mile ascent in the summer heat better than showing off your baller gold pocket compass to all the sweaty beards in the latest REI gear mowing on their Whole Foods trail mix and sandwiches at the top. And the best part: it didn't cost you more than a tenner.
Though this throwback pocket-style compass is not made of gold--probably a good thing, since refined copper is much lighter for its intended use--it is fully functional, and a swell tool for Dad, Grandpa, and hipsters to put to work hiking, camping, and orienteering. The full compass is about 2" in diameter, the face about 1-1/2".
