Avegant Video Headset Giveaway

Boldly go where only Geordi La Forge has gone before. Click here and enter to win the Avegant Video Headset, a mobile personal theater that wears like a combo of over-ear headphones and a Star Trek VISOR. A $499 value from Avegant!

This giveaway is open to US residents only.

About the Avegant Video Headset

Slip on an Avegant Video Headset and press Play on your movies, games, or other HD entertainment. As the visuals roll your eyes will take in a big screen experience, without actually having the big screen - or any screen - in front of you at all.

The Video Headset connects to most smartphones, tablets, drones, and gaming consoles to create an immersive audio and video experience from anywhere. Home. Hotel room in Gary, Indiana. Seat 17A on a flight from New York to LA.

Visuals stream through a pair of viewfinders built into the arc of the Headset. In place of a screen, Avegant uses 2+ million micro-mirrors to reflect light and mimic natural human eyesight. A low-power light source beams the HD images through an optics system, and then onto the micro-mirrors, which shape, focus, and project the picture to your eyes. Avegant says their sight-replication approach not only delivers pixel-free images, but also makes seeing through the Video Headset feel more like seeing the action firsthand, rather than watching it from behind a transparent barrier.

The Video Headset has been designed to pair its clean, HD video with rich, hi-res audio as well. So you can use it just to listen to music on the rare occasions when enshrouding yourself in Game of Thrones and CS aren't options.
