Edible Rice Cracker iPhone Case
Discontinued

Usually when I spend $84.99 on a snack, I want it to be one that is devoid of nutritional value. Gluten-free, of course. And highly unsatisfying. Bonus points if I can temporarily store my iPhone in it. Well hello there, Asian scientist and chubby lady munching away on rice crackers under her desk. What wholly ridiculous Japanese novelty trinket do you have for me today? An Edible Rice Cracker iPhone Case? Oh, Arigato, friends. Arigato very much.

Rice crackers, known universally for their lack of density and durability, are here to protect your very expensive piece of Apple technology from...people who hate rice crackers. And that's about it. Honestly, if it were $2.99, I think an edible iPhone case made out of just about anything would be a great gag gift or stocking stuffer. But at a whopping $85, I guess due to extensive packing and shipping precautions, it bears mentioning here only because of attached warnings about the "Survival Senbei" case's Leg Lampesque fragility (which also, by the way, blow the theory of high costs relating to product care out of the water). Manufacturers would like buyers to know the likelihoods that the Rice Cracker Case will break at the following times:

  • Prior to delivery: 9%
  • While affixing to iPhone: 76%
  • While using the iPhone touch screen: 18%
  • While turning up the volume: 50%
  • During connection to a PC: 54%
  • While putting in a pocket: 89%
  • When touched, either appropriately or inappropriately, by a friend: 81%
  • When the user is upset or annoyed: 65%
  • When dropped: 120%
