HoverBar is a simple, adjustable arm with an L-shaped stand that dangles iPad 2s alongside their Apple Obi-Wan counterparts, giving users easy access to a supplemental, touchscreen computer, and creating the ultimate futurist tag team of technological badassery. According to maker Twelve South, the HoverBar enables iPads to float alongside Macs, flitter amidst workstations, and enrich lives like butterflies. Butterflies, yo. Imagine the nefarious schemes and strategic ploys and advancements towards world domination you could accomplish with a butterfly as your wingman (heh, heh). Nobody ever suspects the butterfly.

Side-by-side with a desktop Apple, HoverBar enables activities such as project collaboration with FaceTime, constant weather monitoring, app interaction, and easy tactile access to Twitter feeds and Facebook. The stand also functions on its own to mount iPads at ergonomic levels on desks, kitchen cabinets, or nightstands.

Attachment is simple, and non-destructive to household surfaces, via an inch-thick clamp that tightens and loosens with only an L-wrench and the approximate muscle power required to remove the twist-off cap from a micro brew. HoverBar is 22 inches long and able to flex in all directions. It weighs 3.5 pounds. The attachment is compatible with iPad 2 WiFi and iPad 2 3G. Shipping is currently free to all US addresses.
