People who cannot read Japanese rejoice. Dark Horse Books and Nintendo have published an English version of The Legend of Zelda: Hyrule Historia, which is now available for pre-order. The Triforce unites and soars to the Western world on January 29, 2013.
The hardcover chronicle contains a near-comprehensive collection of historical information on the Zelda franchise, including never-before-seen concept art, the complete biography of Hyrule, and the official chronology of the games.
The Legend of Zelda: Hyrule Historia opens with commentary from Shigeru Miyamoto, producer and video game designer of Donkey Kong, Mario, and the Zelda series. Then, from forth the masters come their creations; an assortment of Zelda puppeteers spend the next 250+ illustrated pages discussing the background and details of Link's adventures. The culmination: an exclusive comic by the foremost creator of The Legend of Zelda manga, Akira Himekawa.
